I was pretty excited about this lovely cottage that was featured in the last issue of Sköna hem. I heard myself saying 'honey, maybe we could...' but before I actually said anything I heard the exact words coming from my man. 'Honey, I want a cottage like this'. Yeah, me too, and now that I kindly agreed on trying to get a serene place like this one day, maybe I can get through one or two of my own ideas...

oriental rugs & my newest find

What can I say… I love oriental rugs { and that zebra hide }. Pictures by Patric Johansson, The Style Files and some Swedish real estate companies.

So, ofcourse I needed an oriental rug too. We took a tour in this big garage furniture store outside the city and I found this sweetness. How do you like it? It’s silk and I’m already in love ♥

weekend in Stockholm

The summer is coming closer, or almost here one would say since the best outdoor bars and roof top lounges are open and welcoming all the cool Stockholm people with rosé and partee. This lovely boat bar is my favorite. We had a great party there on friday.

 

 

You think it looks like a typical Swedish bar? With palm trees and all that? Well, we just need to fake it a bit…

 

 

Here’s our sunday brunch spot. Clarion Sign hotel in central Stockholm, fantastic restaurant Aquavit Raw & Grill, owned by NYC based Swedish star chef Marcus Samuelsson. We enjoyed a lovely brunch here!

 

 

Ofcourse, it wasn’t only fiesta for the belly, but also for the eye… How do you like the Swans? Not bad sitting there and eating ribs? Add some live jazz too… delicious days.

 

 

Or maybe the cow leather covered Egg? I’m sure you’d love to hang out there!

current favorite wall color

I'm kind of looking for this color for our walls. I'm not sure which wall exactly but I love it anyhoo. I just cannot figure out if it is grey or brown, or mauve? What do you think?

I also love this perfect palette for a party... My new blobsession: lovely, I mean really lovely color palettes for weddings!

little home fix

This weekend has been { and still is } a long one for us. The two extra holidays were much needed! I’ve been fixing at home a bit, sewing cushions and painting and upholstering our dinner table chairs. Grr... not the typical ‘summery’ do but I felt we needed some black’n’white and animal prints. Easy to fix right?
