my fabulous weekend: the dinner
We had some friends over for a lovely dinner this weekend, and I wanted to decorate with yellow, black, white and tulips.
We had very delicious dinner. For starter we had salmon tartare, and for the main course we enjoyd elk { I think, I didn't do the cooking... } Desert was coffee, chocolate and whiskey. Yumm.
My friends have a newborn and he got his own menu { it says breast milk } and a napkin.
The little monkey also got a tiny DIY present from me... I'll show you later.

I've been browsing today and found this lovely interior designer Suzanne Kasler, who's work is pretty well known for you people. She has been featured in Elle Decor, House Beautiful and so on... Here's some lovely images!
The floor here is divine. I actually never really liked this type of patterned floors... until now I guess.

wallpaper obsession
I'm obsessing about a Ralph Lauren wallpaper I saw in an article in the newest issue of Sköna Hem, and while I started looking for that specific beauty I found more RL stuff to be obsessed about. It never seems to end this wallpaper obsession. Crap, now I couldn't find the original obsession { yes, I did email to Sköna Hem } so I need to continue looking for it. However, these two are pretty close to becoming my super obsession of the week.

You know, the Swedish crone princess is getting married this summer, and I'm sincerely not a bit interested about the royalties or their weddings { hello, I'm Finnish, I love presidents, preferably cool female ones } but the collection is lovely.

Know about Svenskt Tenn? It's a Swedish life style company created in 1924 by designers such Josef Frank and Estrid Ericson. The succesful company is still very powerful name in the Swedish design world. Here's a quote from Estrid: ”Never let things stay permanent in your home – keep rearranging the furniture, and remember to leave space for children and gifts. Your home will thereby remain a living entity.” I knew you would love it!
Anyhow, this famous company is having an exhibition called Going Grey until March 21st, and I must see it!

More furniture finds at the furniture fair. This fab couch is called Mamalook, and is desigend by Anna Kraitz for Källemo. I love the belt.
The same company also produces fabulous chairs, you must go and have a look! This chair is called Birdland, and reminds me of a saddle.

stockholm furniture fair
We've had such a fab day at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, the largest furniture fair in Scandinavia. I received two invitations and since my best girl couldn't appear I dragged my man there. We had a blast! It was a long day with a lot of cool designs but unfortunately it wasn't allowed to take pics about all of the designs and wonderful stuff we saw. But, I snapped some in the young designers' corner! Cool new designers from art schools across the Scandinavia and a little beyond. Have a look!
